I owned Coffey Ice Cream in Marblehead, MA for 20 years. It was a wonderful time in my life, and 20 years of making people happy. I loved every second of it. I watched a lot of kids grow up in and out of my shop, as I employed many Marblehead youth over my 20 years there. There is something very wonderful about handing people ice cream cones all day.
Covid resulted in the hard decision to close my doors July 30th, 2020.
Over that next year, I wondered what my next business would be. After a long winter and spring of researching, scratching down ideas, and thinking about what I could do without paying high rent, I decided that I wanted to have a food truck. This gave me the ability go to YOU, the events, the gatherings.
in Katy, Texas. On July 30th, 2021, exactly one year to the day that I closed my doors, I hopped on a plane, flew down, met the owner, became fast friends, wrote out a check, and hopped back on a plane to plan what I was going to do with it.
Fast forward today, to Sheila's Truck!
My mission was to keep making people happy with fun food! And while that remains the core of my business, it has evolved into something much more. Our mission now is to bring together local food producers, and local businesses, and support up-and-coming small businesses, while they support me. Explore the site to see what we are all about.
After 2 successful seasons and many wonderful events, we have decided to introduce a famous Rhode Island delicacy!
We did an event last week at the Hastings House in Beverly Farms, MA. We tested my secret family recipe for the DYNAMITE to an overwhelming response, we sold out in two hours! So this is going to become our signature food item at the truck in 2023
A Dynamite is a sandwich originating from Woonsocket, Rhode Island. It's the type of sandwich that fills the body and warms the soul. The fresh torpedo roll is topped with a combination of ground beef, peppers, onions, tomato sauce, and seasonings (that's a family secret). This spicy sandwich is similar to a Sloppy Joe. It's recommended to wash it down with a cold beer!
we would often come home to 2 "batches" of Dynamites on the stove for dinner. Why two batches you wonder? Well, there are many ways to make this RI favorite, and don't ask anyone from RI the correct and only way to make it unless you are ready to witness a brawl! HAHA
look for the New DYNAMITES AND DOGS logo!
We are still going to offer our all-beef hotdogs and our amazing homemade French fries.
Our new sign making you hungry yet!?!
Have a wonderful day!
